The Adobe Acrobat "PDF" file format is a reliable way to store Web pages that you view on the Internet. However, you have to pay Adobe in excess of $100 for a copy of "Acrobat Pro" to get the "Adobe Acrobat Printer Driver" for making PDF files. It is probably more than most of you want to spend. Here is a free alternative:
From any Windows computer, you can create PDF files for free by using the PDF995 "printer".
Here's how:
Go to

Download the "PDF995 Printer Driver". It is 2 Megabytes in size.
You can either click on the "Run" or "Save" buttons. It is your choice.
If you get a Security Warning box, click on its "Run" button:
The file that downloads into your computer is called pdf995s.exe
After the download completes, install it into your computer.

At the end of the installation of the pdf995s.exe file, you will get the following "splash screen" for your amusement:
After the installation of "PDF995 Printer Driver" completes, go back to

Now, download the "Free Converter". It is about 5.0 Megabytes in size.
Again, you have a choice of either clicking on "Run" or "Save".
The file that downloads into your computer is called ps2pdf995.exe
If you get a Security Warning box, click on it's "Run" button.
Now you are ready to create PDF files by using the "PDF995" printer driver.
Open up any document file or use your Web browser to go somewhere on the Internet.
Click on "File.
Click on "Print".
Click on "PDF995" printer to select it.

Next, click on the "Print" button.
A "Pdf995 Save As" box appears:
Edit the file name to the desired one. Make sure that the file extension remains "pdf".
Click on the "Browse Folders" button to expand the "Pdf995 Save As" box so that you can work your way to a desired destination folder.
When you arrive at the desired destination folder, click on the "Save" button.
